Toyota pitched the 1994 MR2 as a mid-engine exotic you didn’t have to wait for, and dual airbags were standard that year. The second-generation MR2, often nicknamed the “poor man’s Ferrari,” was sold in the US only for the 1991 to 1995 model years.
